Cusp
Comments:
Some lovely texture and curves. It's also well balanced. It leaves me wanting to see more of the collection (not more in this single shot!). The only piece of life I'm getting is that rather prominent nose...
Much like your 'moonstone', this has a texture I'd very much like to touch. There's a mystery to that material.
I often feel that my own attempts to photograph textures like this fail . . . I'll have to study yours more closely.
So life is about curves...try telling the Cubists! There are hints of Botticelli in the work, and an echo of a violin shape. I am not a 'less is more' person and would be keen to see more, perhaps because this abstraction is not abstract; but there are hints of sensuality.
we were always told in the camera club not to take pictures of other peoples art. Such silly ideas they have, glad I left.
This maybe a piece of someones art but you have made it your own.
The warm tones against the cooler green helps place one plane in front of the other, it is not a 2 dimensional object and the pictures colours helps with that feeling.
You seem to have been taking pictures that demand to be big recently. Maybe that is just a part of them being textures and reflections. I get a serene feeling from this. A contemplation picture.
