she's late
Comments:
The 20 is nice too, as is the wire running to the drain pipe and the pairing of gray and brown. There's a lot to like here between the action and the strong graphical content.
even without the running girl this attracts me. The portion of cirle with all of that rigid geometery around it was an eye magnet for sure, well done for waiting for (or setting up) a running girl.
Really nice composition and moment, I like that she is floating in mid-air, a fun sense of drama about "speed".
Reminds me of the saying about some girls who are "14 going on 20" in terms of their maturity, etc, always in a hurry to grow up.
My granddaughter, the day after her 6th birthday, proudly announced to everyone that she was now "almost 7".
Wonderful. Along with the running girl and "red", you got in a drainpipe for Guy and some interesting curtains for Robert. ;-)
No, not a setup. This was about 15 minutes before I was due to go to the dentist, just round the corner to the left, at 0900. However, I was returning to photograph number 20. In fact, I nearly called this 'numbers 20a and 20b' as that can be read on the door. Carmarthen is not one of the UK's more attractive towns and this is like finding a glass of wine at a Temperance meeting!
This would almost make it worthwhile going to the dentist. The contrasts are fascinating and catching the girl "flying" like this—well, difficult to think of how to improve on it. The two jolts of red and the way the colors in the girl's clothing match the background do almost make it feel staged. Makes me smile.
There's something of interest in each of those windows and the splash of red adds, predictably, a good dose of colour to an otherwise flat palette. I've been wondering since I saw this first where I'd place the girl and I think were you decided is pretty much spot on. Any further right and you're straight out the picture. Any further left and you're obscuring one of those interesting windows.
