A Photograph Speaks A Hundred Titles?

Oyama-cho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo.
Comments:
I'd begun to think that Tokyo was all in B&W.
Like Paris. Having seen so much HCB, Atget, and Doisneau etc it came as quite a shock to find that France was in colour.
Do the green pins suggest that this is a set up by Guy?
Anybody catch the "Stills 100th" on the billboard. I think that there is a subliminal message, you all.
Opps, I just figured out Colins cryptic message. I thinks per chance he gots it. Perhaps I need some more coffeeeeee. Sheesee.
I am eager to know whether or not the Stills sign on the billboard was a set up. I had already peeked at message before I saw the photo, I wonder if I would have made the catch.
One's eye goes straight to a notice-board so noticing the 100th post was straightforward - congratulations on that great achievement!! What happens when it rains by the way? Our village board has a perspex cover?
What is that giant lipstick dispenser for?!
In colour, it seems, the Japanese build their walls in a British way - very strange!
Is the wire-guard bamboo?
Matt: Not only colour but digital capture too! Needed to dust down the *istD for this shot and update my raw converter software. After all that cafuffle I remembered why I shoot black and white film. Don't worry, I'll be back in my comfort zone and normal service will be resumed next week...XP2 is back in town!
Colin/Doug/Anita: I'd like to say I just happened upon this but the "Stills 100th" was my addition to the scene.
Robert: Different in colour only I hope...the rest should be in my usual 'style'.
John: At the outset of my Stills involvement I didn't think I'd make 100...looking forward to working on my next 100 posts. I have only ever seen the changing of the notices once since being in Japan and that was very recently and sparked the idea of this photograph. There's nothing covering the board but the notices must have a waterproof coating added to them. These boards are everywhere in the communities and are maintained by the communities. Some, like mine here, are very ordered whereas others are pretty overgrown as it were. In the lipstick case is a fire extinguisher and the yellow coating in plastic. As for the wall...it belongs to a very successful (and fairly globally famous) clothes shop owner.
It really has been an enjoyable 100 posts. I've learnt so much being a part of the team both behind the lens and viewing each others' submissions. Thanks as always to our illustrious leader Mr. Jago for bringing this all together and to all the participants (past and present) for keeping Stills moving along.
Are you sure it is No 100? I put all the posts into a spreadsheet and I make it 99. I haven't done any checks so there could be a mistake. If anyone is interested the spreadsheet allows finding titles, authors and it has the links straight to the images, so I could stick it on the web if wanted.
A good fun image and recognisable as yours.
rex...I may have indeed jumped the gun! But in my defense, I do remember posting the same photograph (Puppy Love) twice as I needed to perform a contrast correction.
Although in color and not your usual format, it is all you in the way it brings a smile.
I'm pleased to be here for your 100th (this one or the next, I won't count -- Rex, you have much too much time! ;-) ).
