Skylight

thankyou to Colin for inviting me here. I have visited in the past and enjoyed the pictures and conversation and glad to become a part of it.
This picture is from my sofobomo project, shapes on teh edges of frames seem to be something I have been playing with lately, often leaving gaping holes in the middle.

Comments:
Welcome Robert.

I'll put your details in the sidebar later in the day.

Welcome to Stills Robert. I see an angelic teddy bear at the top of that gaping hole.

funny, I saw a howling wolf. I'm sure someone will read something sinister into that.

Quite a hostile bear!

Yes, welcome Robert. Congratulations on getting your sofobomo book out (this picture being from it) - it looks very good.

'funny, I saw a howling wolf.'

Huh, I see the rabbit suit from the movie Donnie Darko; that's probably a bit more sinister than a wolf. What does it say about the group that akikana sees an angelic bear, but I see a psychotic bunny from a movie about time travel ;-) Welcome to the group!

Welcome.

I like the concept of the interest being round the edge and I've spent an age browsing the sofobomo site!

My interest in this image resides in the detail of the tree and its tonality. The contrast of the tree with the brickwork is also interesting.

One more welcome, Robert.

I like this idea very much and find the "frame" made of tree, brick and scalloped edge quite interesting. The shape in the center does have a sort of organic look, but I can't say I saw the animals others have spotted in there. (well, okay, maybe a long nosed gremlin) ;-)

thanks for all the welcomes. It may not be interesting but when I took this picture I did not see any animal/thing at all, just wondered how burnt out the hole would be.

With all that framing it needs to have some form of shape in the burnt out hole to hold it all together. Otherwise the parts on their own are not strong enough to hold this one together. It is an interesting idea and one that could grow in to a good collection.
