Bridgest Motorspor Thruxton

if it was not for the Bridgestone Motorsport written on the jacket and the fact we know you are at the races from your previous picture/post then we would not know what those orange shapes top left were.
The red triangle in Bridgestone balances off the orange figures but I feel that since they share the same side of the picture they tend to give an unbalanced feel to it. The lean of the person does help loosen up the picture a bit.
The slight fold of jacket bottom left balances well with the fellows head and hood.

I have a feeling that this is an exercise in holding the long lens steady! Does the in-detail texture of a motoring jacket (worn by fan or worker?), with excellent stitching, merit more than three-quarters of the picture? The white bits by his ear slightly detract from the tight control of the rest of the picure.

I'm reall surprise that nobod has mad thi jok yet.

I can tell how much my mind has been running in sets and themes recently because now I want the rest of the 'orange day out' set. To follow on from John's comment, I don't think that the jacket/stitching etc does hold enough interest for the amount of photo real estate that it gets, but it nearly does, and hence would make an excellent linking shot to get one from a group of, say, crowd shots, to another group in the pits, or at the corporate entertainment tent etc. But it is the orange that is the key.

The start of an interesting motor sport project. As Colin mentions, this would make an excellent link shot. There's just enough over his left shoulder to be of interest and the orange certainly fights for attention. It also goes well with that rather vivid hue of green.

I'm in agreement with the idea of a series shot. The colorful piece in the upper left corner is where my attention wants to go and stay despite its fuzziness. I doubt this would work at all in black and white!

I don't know about this. Even as part of a series, I'm not sure there is enough here of interest.

My first take was that this is a Ralph Gibson image in color. But for me, there is a soft similar colored out of focus area by that ear that I find very disconcerning. Its like a soft bubble coming out of his head.

I agree with Colin about the orange color tying this together.
