Blogger issues
It looks like the picture publishing bug has returned. I've just finished the posts for Doug and Rex and have watched the Blogger spinning wheel for a while whilst the system, well, spins its wheels. I'm happy to go on with the work around for anybody with posting difficulties. I see the original fault has never been cleared off the Blogger Status blog, although it is slipping off the bottom of the page now. It seems intermittent. Not bad enough to dash off to Wordpress or elsewhere, but a pain nonetheless.

I've been experiencing problems loading images for new posts. The blogger status blog indicates that this is a known problem and that they've been 'working on it' for nearly two weeks. All that they can suggest in the meantime is that users 'keep trying'.
If you've 'kept trying' and are bored with it, there is a work around. Create a text only post (title, picture caption etc) and save it as a draft. Then email me the image you wish added to the post. I'll load the picture directly onto the server and finish creating the post. This offer remains good whilst this post is on the front page of the blog :-)
Update: publishing this post caused every previous post to republish. Clearly this is not normal. Something more is afoot than the blogger status blog is letting on.

This is a great excuse as to why you have not seen any new images from me. Honestly, I hope the fix gets put in place and maybe by then I'll be inspired to upload something new.
Ah, a new Blogger fault. Now it is saying that my most recent post is published but it hasn't written any file to the server. Sigh.

I think there is another fault, possibly related.
My post to Robert got 'lost', I reposted it and it said it saved it but it can only be seen in the Post a Comment box, it is not on the blog.
As per your post above! And possiblt this one too..............
Ah, and now it has posted a post that it says it hasn't.
The Blogger complaints forum is aglow. Let's assume that they'll sort this out shortly.
As per Rex's comment above, there is also a very long lag between somebody making a comment and that comment getting written to the server on the permalink page for the image. If necessary I'll do a forced republish to flush out any stuck comments once the main problem seems to have been resolved.
Blogger claims that the problem has been fixed. Our front page looks OK, but not all the comments have yet been properly sent to our server. It does seem to be catching up however.
Please report any new problems to me (I'm travelling for a few days so will appreciate a tip because I won't be logging on and looking quite so often myself).
I've just done a forced republish to try and flush out any remaining problems and to add Anita's name to the sidebar.
Everything seemed to work fine up until the point that Blogger started reporting that it had republished 106% of the pages. At which stage it got stuck and wouldn't finish. So if anybody notices anything wrong or incomplete could they let me know.
