Ballet rehearsal

Comments:
Pitch perfect. Every square centimetre serves a purpose. And the girl in the foreground...

Excellent. Very dynamic, great composition...

Who invited Degas to the group?

Excellent.

[There are some interesting hats in that group at the back]

I first thought of Degas and then Toulouse-Lautrec. There is a spontaneity and innocence that is a joy to see. Thanks.

Look at the times. Great minds think alike! (don't say the second line!)

Degas, yes, but his would be in color I think. Not that this needs color. It is delightful, Doug.

The scuffs and texture in the floor are wonderful.

Without the seated audience at the back this would not be half as pleasing. They hold you in the picture amongst all the movement and act as a good counterbalance as well. The mirror adds more depth and also acts as a good border to the right hand edge...if that makes any sense.

Not much to say about this that hasn't already been said. At first I wasn't sure about the toning, but it has grown on me.

They look like they are having fun.
