City wire

Comments:
The chain is almost like a heart.

I can't work out what the chain is trying to do - is it securing to separate fences. A complete contrast to your previous post. This one definitely wants to keep you out where the previous one is trying to keep something in. Not sure I'd really be wanting to break on myself as there doesn't seem to be much of interest in the back there - unless I had packed my skateboard I suppose. The fence is also a good contrast to the natural tree boundary in the distance.

I am confused as to what is in front of what with the chain and the fence, a bit like an Escher picture.

It looks as though someone has had a go at the wires, but as others say: what fits where is difficult to make out. I think that the right hand section sits over the left hand and is secured by the chain. Taken on a dimly lit day this is definitely not inviting but there is a hint of a park that could be enjoyed when the work is finished and the fence is removed. It's funny how some wire just shrieks 'temporary' at you - lucky that it does! It is also strange how there is coherence to the picture, perhaps as a result of the flat lighting.

The fence itself and the shapes of the chain and fence parts and how they all go together is of some interest. The scene beyond it doesn't really attract me at all, though the tree shapes are nice and I like how the horizontal wire on the fence divides things up. As akikana says, not a place I'd be interested in getting into. Perhaps a future parking lot?

First an apology to everybody for getting so behind in looking at the current crop of pictures. I am now back with a working computer so I'll be catching up.

This is temporary fencing. In fact you might call it insurance fencing. It exists so that if anything happens the site owner can point to the contractor and the contractor can point to the locks.

The site is an ex car park. It is being redeveloped by the NHS (the owner). The setting is mature parkland. It isn't yet clear how much greenery is going to get lost at the edges.

I like John's comment about the coherence. I wasn't sure when taking the shot but it seemed to come together on the screen. The contrast around the chain is hammed up a bit. It was a dull flat day.

I like the repeating patterns of the fencing in this image, but the overall composition is now holding me. Getting torn between the interesting foreground and how it is trying to relate to the equally interesting backgound. They don't seem to complement or work together.
