Morning Dew Drops

Another "branch-scape" from the prairie.

Comments:
Wow, is this beautiful! It is your 'usual' color pallet, which works wonderfully here. The sharp focus dew and the unfocused dew is a visual delight. Then getting past the initial visual display, I start to see other aspects of this image, such as the negative space dead center.

You must have made a ton of exposures and probably hard to figure out which is the 'right' one;- )

Ditto, I also love the background highlights and the subtle green.

I have one thing that I find inharmonious and that is the in focus dark top right twig. Having seen it I cannot let my eye wander over the image.

Although I can't say that I noticed it before, since you pointed it out, I think it would be a good idea for me to lighten that. Thanks.

Despite the use of focus/out of focus I have the feeling that this is a screen and don't know what lies beyond. I suppose it could be the entry to a fairy story.

What a delightful natural curtain. I'm in two minds as to whether I need something more dominant in that slight gap to draw me in closer/further. The dewdrops are perhaps a little too many but without them this delightful picture would be lost.

Doug -- I did take a number of images along these lines, and there were several I was happy with. This one was the only one with its particular color palette though -- most of the others are monotonal and perhaps less "curtain"-like. Here are links to two from the same morning:

I think the other two versions show how inmportant the space is in this image.

'I suppose it could be the entry to a fairy story.'

If it is, you'd be wet when you got to where ever this leads. I have a feeling it would be worth it, wet cuffs and all.

Late to this one, so I'll just say 'cinemagraphic'. I really feel that this is a part of a moving scene and not a still.
