Foggy Road

One more scene while driving.

Comments:
And then the aliens landed...

The proportions of this seem wrong to me. I'd love to have seen this taken square.

The light is, of course, mesmerising. Its position in the frame both natural and unexpected.

After Colin commented I thought again about the format - initially it had seemed too thin - but, after initially agreeing with him, now have rationalised out that the road is best served by this format. The sun is the right brightness: it conveys what it has too within the confines of the medium. The colour is a bit weird but that must be Florida!!

A rather fascinating collection of trees biding their time in the mist. I am intrigued by the line between the two poles by the gate: does it then go down each pole to the ground?

I normally balk at the sun being in the picture even though I've done it myself. However in this image it works, it defines the time of day and the type of weather.

The format does give a fell of progression.

A very moody image, with parts of the landscape that are similar to those I've seen before in Florida. It has a surreal appearance. I also like that mail post on the roads edge to povide a little balance and I'm glad that the yellow sign on the far right is toned down to not distract from the rest of the composition.

'initially it had seemed too thin'

I'd be tempted to go even thinner. Although the color of the sky is something to look at, it doesn't seem like enough to justify all that space in the the top quarter of the frame.

Light and shadow and both hadled very delicately. I'd vote for slightly less of the sun in the frame. I'm assuming this was shot in motion as it were. If you could just get the driver to stop every so often it would bring these up a notch further. For this one, I'd have wanted to stop and reshoot so that the signpost bottom right had space all around it.

I wouldn't touch it. From the Sun to the signpost on the right, to me it is very good the way it is. Colours and light are, well, as good as ever. Nice to change to dominant tone from warm to cold, albeit you manage to warm the the coldness.
