Hard Hands Area

This one I re-scanned. It looks like I have plenty of editing in front of me for this series. I dislike many original scans.
This was probably a workshop. Well, I have no idea what kind of work was done in that hall.
Comments:
There's a great fish skeleton effect coming out of the bottom of the frame with a slight touch of surrealism as a result of the piece of board floating over it. The strange effect on the liquid with the light bottom left adds to the bizarre feel of the place. More than in earlier shots, I find myself wondering where people were working, what they were doing and was it a reasonably pleasant environment to work in? It has utilitarian written all over it and yet the bare outlines of a cathedral can be discerned.
The fish skeleton effect is surreal. I wonder if there is bit too much contrast between the deep black of the water and reflected light coming through the roof.
Keep editing. The series seems worth the effort.
The "floating board" is mesmerizing, but beyond that fascinating reflection and its effect, the whole interior has a lot to see. The one point perspective makes it go on nearly forever in the distance. A great addition to this series.
I am just mesmerised by the reflection, the extension by the railway lines and the roof lights receding into the background.
Brilliant.
Reminds me of:

An interesting combination of subject and technique. Also an interesting 40:60 split of the frame.
The thrust of the lower high contrast bit means that the place becomes a backdrop rather than a subject. A thought provoking outcome (in the sense of art versus document).
wonderful reflection. I find though that the wall encroaching from the left acts as a barrier to get any further in to the shot. However, it does balance the emptiness of the right side of the shot if that makes any sense!
