Cupboards

A second one from the same small room. This is actually located in the little station alongside the railway that served to bring raw materials and take the output of the factory.

Comments:
So far, all the images in this series have particularly nice tonality. This one is no exception. I also like the lopsided geometry of this.

Matt,

If this is a conspiracy to make me do some film photography again, beware it won't work.

The reason it won't work is I loaded a film in my M6 last week ;-)

Not entirely the reason anyway, the light was much like you see it there. Gloomy, dark, and yet a bit contrasty. It was snowing that day.

I know that you can not do anything about it now, but an adjustment layer to reduce the white whateveritis on the right side would help keep me in the photograph. Also tone down the white wrapper in the lower left corner as well. I like this arrangement and I would keep that one open door white as a focal point.

The dark corners at the top act like a lid to keep me looking down. I find the anti-clock amusing.

I like a number of the bits of this (stuff already mentioned like the clock, the tones etc), but don't find the whole as engaging as the previous shot. Perhaps because there isn't enough by way of clue as to what sort of place this is. Perhaps also the shape. Although the top corners do act as a lid, I want this to be square for some reason. The formality of it maybe.

Count me in as a fan of the tonal range in this series. The idea of the "anti-clock" struck me funny, too, once Rex mentioned it.

I also like the white open door and have a bit of a wish to look at some of the paper scattered on the floor, but overall the cabinets don't interest me for very long.

This one seems a little more 'staged' than the others. As if you are trying to make some order out of the chaos. The non-clock is a pleasing touch but I find the square-on view just a little to clean. Some elements creeping in stage left and right deserve their own 'soliloquies'. As others have said, great tones.
