A Shadow of its Former Self

Comments:
I like the joke. I like the reflections. I like the parallel verticals :-)
You wonder about the change of heart, or ownership, that led to the demise of the pink colour scheme.
I often fail to see interesting things in the ordinary. Now that you have seen and shown this, and having read Colin,'s comment, I see what it can be about. Otherwise it would remain fairly cryptic to me.
This took me a while to figure out as well, which now makes for a different image. Even before I had figured out the title's implications, I found this an interesting image withthe really nice (green)bush and the windows wihthe reflections and that odd pink shape.
Interesting because the ochre paint must have been there some time as the creeper is covering it; so the decision must have been taken to leave the old creeper suckers and not paint over them.
Return your crop and up you one: just contain the wall and leave out pipes, doors to the left and path, granite and earth below - that gives the plant life a more peaceful setting.
Perfect. Everything in the scene is at odds with itself and 'perceived' rules of composition/presentation (slithers on the edge, encroaching objects, centrally place main characters, etc.). It works so much better in colour than B&W. Well seen and captured.
In this case, I find the color a bit distracting. I think I would have preferred this in B&W. In color, my eyes are drawn to the flowers and the green of the bush instead of to the subtler compositional elements.
Living in a place where vines are always trying to grab hold and climb the walls of the house, this scene was instantly recognizable and gave me a smile. I (of course) like the color and feel it is needed to really "get" this.
Although the foliage might have been painted around, it may have have taken the paint off with it when it was removed, revealing color from long before.
