Marken

Comments:
Gorgeous, almost unreal sky, strong geometry, good use of stark symmetry complimented by the slight wisp of clouds. There's a lot to like here.
Clearly a part of your V period :-)
The blue is probably deeper than reality, but it makes this particular picture.
The shapes of the house provide a very graphic image in a relatively flat plane, with a bit of the repeat pattern, as though this is another reflection image. Almost abstract.
I think it would be even stronger if the structure was not leaning backwards.
I am now looking at a software corrected version and enjoy it a lot. I did it because I fail to get the same feeling from the original. I am too distracted by the perspective.
I do not know whether the camera was deliberately tilted very slightly or not but it feels like that and so makes it entirely acceptable for the buildings to be leaning back. The black chimney/exhaust stacks remove any abstract feel so it is very much about patterns. Looking back through my photos, I find I have so few taken on sunny days, let alone with blue skies, that this seems almost artificial! In fact, the brightness and cheerfulness preclude any sort of feeling about the buildings so the image is about how the mind wishes to live with a particular pattern and ponder clapboard over red brick.
I have no problem with the tilt - I find it adds to the whole experience. It balances out the harsh geometry on offer. This is so symmetrical that you have to take a keen interest in the sky to avoid the 'manipulation' thoughts creeping in. That blue is so deep and the clouds so wispy that it adds depth to what would otherwise have been quite a flat portrayal.
The symmetrical shapes and the color is all pleasin -- my personal preference would be even more abstractness and simplicity, so the black stacks are a bit of an annoyance. I very much like that window the right and its reflection.
