Vanishing Point (03710025)

Comments:
I don't know what it is or why it is there but you have used it very imaginatively. The mystery of the emptiness of the room and the placement of the figure tie in well with the 'object'. Light, DOF and composition work perfectly.

This is a very intriging image and is strangely well balanced. It looks like we have dropped into the middle of story and now we left with a lot of unanswerable questions...

Can't add much to that. I want to know what happened next...

Enigmatic comes to mind.

No verticals and no horizontals........

Strange, intriguing, enigmatic, imaginative -- all good words for this. Beautifully done. I can't stop trying to figure out what that is!

Not much more I can add. How that diagonal comes through the window and pierces the floor would have been enough for me but the addition of the figure adds a further angle to the shot - where did that diagonal come from?

"I want to know what happened next..."

The cable snapped, the floor fell away from, and I tumbled back to the first floor where I saw the sign saying "Photography Prohibited on the Third Floor," which is where they keep all the good stuff.

This is actually an art exhibit at the refreshingly unpretentious Indianapolis Museum of Art. This whole room was filled with nothing but light and couple of these large strands of heavy wool yarn. It's a beguiling simple work, but it's also a heck of a lot of fun to look at against the back-lighting of the large windows, which happen to look out on a rather picturesque bend in the river.

Thanks for taking a look.
