scrap

Comments:
This really is rather fine. Art from junk, eh?
There are so many perfect placements of line, that it is difficult to believe that this is random. Surely this is a 100 hour photoshop job :-)
"And it wasn't done to annoy Matt either!"
Ha! I've know idea what this is, but I kind of like it. It's photo that deserves to be seen big, though, and perhaps it could use a little more depth in the shadows.
Very interesting -- hard to know in places just what is going on here, but it comes across well anyway from a design standpoint.
Rex - this picture of old Land Rovers must have scared you off!
I had an interesting 30 minutes walking round the back yard of the mechanic who fixes our Land Rover. It was slightly misty and damp and I only had the Fuji. However, I got some fascinating pictures of decrepit old Land Rovers, of which this was my favourite because I cannot remember how I got this particular juxtaposition. A combination of conditions and camera probably account for the comment about depth in shadows.
It certainly has a lot going on and the layers are difficult to order. The orange centre sticks out a little too much but apart from that I have no fault with this. Even your explanation helps me no further which is probably a good thing as it keeps the mystery going a little longer in my mind.
