Dublin 3 - DART

The DART is a train link connecting the city centre with the suburbs. Rush hour.

Comments:
We've had a lot of photos lately involving windows or looking through things.

That green/yellow is an awful color scheme, but it works well with the red jacket.

I like that this works on both a strong graphic level - the jacket, the framing - and on a more subtle level - the reflections in the window.

Although I agree with Matt about the unattractive green/yellow, this has lots of appeal.

I especially like the silhouette of the girl on the right, and the balance that brings to the man in red. His face, manner and expression evokes a strong emotional response in me.

Blame the Irish for the colour scheme! Christina - how does a designer come up with this combination?! In fact, the line has a slight 'retro' look to it, which is not so bad, although the totality of Dublin's colour schemes/choices is very hit and miss, and I didn't like the blue of their buses. Imagine a middle-blue bus next to this!

Commuters are commuters are commuters. It seems they all have the same glaze in every city I have visited. The colours play very well here, everything is either green or greeninsh thanks to the glass tainting and the red jacket attracks the attention like a magnet.

Everything is flat in this shot which adds to its charm. From the flatness of the colours to the flatness of expressions and silhouettes. The open window adds a little fresh air but not much. Great framing!

I go with what akikana said, but not the framing. I think I want either more context, or less of that lovely green paint (i.e. looser or tighter). Probably the latter. I'm fighting to see in the window.

Colin - maybe your "fighting to see in the window" is the obverse of what the passengers might feel!! It's interesting about the framing: I don't think I would want to change it.
