Light Extension Cords

Ayase, Adachi-ku, Tokyo.
Comments:
A fascinating insight into how the mind works (at least, when wielding a paintbrush). Also a maddeningly frustrating photo: what, why etc.? Because it has a strong visual appeal, I would have preferred the uprights at the left to be straightened in PS. I've commented before on urban portrayal, but this is a good minimalist take on how a city is put together!
Is the building extruding the cords or retrieving them? What's around the corner?
Good tonal range, a bit more contrast than you usually show.
Or even Heavy Extension Cords.
So using google I read about the Entenji Temple where Kobayashi Issa created two of his famous Haiku??
Is this the extension cord for the temple?
This one isn't working for me. The lines lead me to the patch of light but then I'm stranded somewhere without a subject and with no way out.
These are electric wires coming out of the building and round the back they are powering a couple of air-con units. Strange place to take them as I saw no signs of units being closer to those boxes.
Christina: Tokyo is an ugly city - apart from the high profile recent developments in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown, Maronouchi, Omotesando and Ginza. The areas I tend to shoot in are pretty much like this shot - a lot of unattractive housing, paving, roadways, fixtures and fittings etc. I wouldn't have it any other way though!
Colin: Needed more light in the back there to make this work or at the least something of interest. Tried a similar shot this morning whilst out and about so will see how that one works out.
Thanks as always for the valuable feedback.
