Easter holidaymaker tableau

Walking from the carpark to a meeting, for which I was late. New Quay, Wales.

Comments:
Sublime. There is so much that makes this special I just don't know where to start. So start I shall...

The person far right: exactly what are they leaning against? This person provides protection to the pink swaddled baby who is really getting the 'face' from their sibling(?).

The next left pink clad person is either wailing uncontrollable or just making animal faces. Either way its an interest.

Then to the action on the bench. It looks very intense and a definite learning moment.

And then to the actor stage left hamming it up for the photographer. No idea what is hiding in the bag on the photographer's left but it looks like a doll.

The colours in front of the railings are predominantly red/pink. This offsets quite beautifully with the blues of the sea, horizon and sky.

That horizon is so perfect - both in width and colour.

Truly, a quite extraordinary piece of photography.

I'm in as an admirer of this image, too. The colors make my eyes very happy. Did you pay them all to dress that way? ;-) And so much delightful interaction with people of all ages. (aptly described by akikana).

That gorgeous, serene water and sky with pastel pinks and blues ties in to the brighter foreground colors -- its a beautiful slice of life caught by your camera.

Tableau indeed. Not sure there's a consistent eye-line in the bunch, which only heightens the interest. Nice balance between the two adult figures on either edge. And I love the way the bright clothing echoes the same tones in the sky. Excellent.

Is this the pre-cheese moment?

Get some order in there, a nice straight row of attentive subjects with gleaming teeth is what we want. I am sure that's what group photos are supposed to look like.

They are missing a bit of discipline............ :-)

I can't improve on what akikana has already said, but I can add that, for me, the picture pivots around the blue of the coat of the child in the middle.

Terrific.

Thanks for the comments. Maybe Britain is dressing to match evening skies...? But normally I criticize current fashions! This is one of the better outdoor shots from the Fuji (it's not keen on really strong sunshine - but that's not what I bought it for).
