in the turbine hall

Comments:
This is an interesting portrait of you both with the reflection creating the appearance of a collage. There are pictures within pictures and the scale of the turbine hall is well conveyed. (I am assuming it is Tate Modern)
I like this a lot, but I'd be tempted to tone down the highlight along the bottom center of the frame.
This works for me on many levels. A fascinating self portrait, unique and interesting setting, very good composition -- and those figures lower right cap it off beautifully.
Guess you can probably tell that I like it -- a lot.
It's been a good week on Stills for me. This is such a fascinating self portrait and then some. There is a touch of the big brother element in this. Probably because I keep thinking Third Man video cover. Those characters in silhouette bottom right add the icing to this shot and my Third Man connection. The extremes in contrast from the roof and the wall are well balanced against the detail in the foreground.
Thank you all for the comments on this. I'm not sure that you want to know what components went into this! The backdrop of the turbine Hall at Tate Modern is a large print of a photo by Colin O'Brien, whose retrospective was on show in the Arts Centre at the University of Wales in Aberystwyth recently. For the exhibition it would have been better to use non-reflective glass; for my purposes this suited very well. Jana, as usual, wandered into the picture and that lifted it considerably - I had probably just sworn at her though!
Matt - the highlights are O'Brien's; not mine!
John,
Thanks for the background. It is an imaginative use of props for an environmental (self) portrait.
