A Bicycle Seat

Nishihara, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo.
Comments:
Bicycles and railings....dangerous territory :-)
One wants to know more of course. How tall are those posts.....what is behind the (?marquee) wall....so somebody stole the bike?....
Not sure it would hold my attention for long though. Not quite enough to get hold of.
Potentially painful!
This evokes an initial smile but then I tend to Colin's double-entendre in his last sentence. If it has any purpose it is to point up that someone must have put this there as a jape so it is reflecting 'live' humour ...or it was stolen... .
Most of the images I've seen from you contain a somewhat curious element of humor and this is no exception. Very nicely composed. I like the relative simplicity of this image.
I'm wondering what the background is -- it looks like fabric. The subtle tone changes and texture of it add interest for me.
Those fence posts look like crayola crayons. I like the geometry of this, but I wish the seam was just a bit to the right.
For me the image is very concentrated to the left and if the image was of a cycle then the interest would be to the left of the saddle. I therefore feel that I would like the imaginary cycle to be centred more which means I would have preferred the saddle to be to the right.
Enigmatic.
Thanks for the feedback. I thought long and hard about the positioning of the seat before clicking the shutter. (obviously not that long or hard enough given the breaking of the seam). Further back in the frame and there would have been more clutter in the scene so I thought I could wing it with this composition. The background is the canvas cover of a van.
