Porthgain Rope

Comments:
At a guess you were having lunch there - the sun gives it away! At least you had some. This is the second rope, a larger one spanning the harbour to the left. It's rather an unnautical pile of rope (not your fault!) but this composition captures the feel of the harbour well. The shadow area to the top helps convey that. An attractive picture.
Quick, call the Health and Safety Executive!
I'm left wondering what the rope is for. It looks in good condition and is edge protected by that tyre, but surely nobody who uses rope a lot leaves it like that.
I'm not sure that I have enough here to get a feel for the harbour, but I do like the puzzle.
Again, I'm observing without any knowledge of the place, so whether or not this captures the feel of the harbour -- it makes no impression on me. I do find it an interesting image -- even attractive in a way (which could be just that I seem to be one of the few members that really enjoys color in images ;-)).
The simple top half with single line leads my eye into the suddenly complex, messy pile of rope, which seems all the more confusing thanks to the strong light. And then somehow I get out of the tangle, back to the single line and up. A fun eye exercise.
There is a lot to like in the picture and the 'mess' at the bottom obviously takes up much of my attention. With that single strand of rope drifting up and out of the picture it leaves me wanting a little more. The rope mass is a real mix up of objects. The clean top rope is almost pasta like.
Whilst I think most viewers may take the single line in to the picture, I started with the ball and worked towards the single strand at the end. The dark strip along the top forces me to stay in bounds but not enough to wonder what is above it.
