Another Mountain To Climb

they only had one leg!!!!!!
I am not sure that 'they' are stairs or to be climbed. It looks like a very high riser and narrow tread for stairs.
The boot does create a very poignant image.
Somewhere between a swimming pool and a hospital (the tiling). At a guess the boot is yellow. Somehow, children's boots need to be in colour! The slight tilt up to the left does add to the sense of difficulty of going up the steps. As a picture, it's all in that boot.

Yes, although the shape on the panel behind the boot helps.
Those are big stairs for anybody with a boot that size. Makes me wonder if they are seating really at some sort of outdoor arena. As John says, something of the air of swimming pool.
Though not usually my preferred type of image, I like this -- it must be the boot! That one little thing puts life into this for me.
Thanks for the comments. These stairs lead up to an apartment complex on a busy road. How anyone could leave a single boot behind is a mystery to me... My recollection is that the boot was indeed yellow though.
