on tiptoes

Comments:
Someone once told me that no good photograph would come from taking a picture of someone's back. Well tosh to that as Man Ray and others have proved. This one too. The slicing of the child midrift works wonders with the similar slicing of the sandled model. Crop everything to the left of the child and a little off the right and it's a winner for me. A visual delight. If only I could see more of the 'critter' on the floor...
Such a homely image John, that's what it says to me, the kind of things that kids and parents get up to (or at least they should). Very sweet.
Thanks for comments. 'Granny' will be pleased that she was mistaken for a parent!
Akikana - yes, a pity that the small dog is not more visible. The crop versus full debate is probably not worth pursuing. My preference is for some space in which the action can take place.

At first viewing, I thought this photograph needed a crop to ballance it out, but after looking at this a number of times, I think your right. Getting rid of that white space to the right of the child would be a mistake.
I've got a very similar photo of one of my nephews. Same perspective, engaged in a craft project, even down to the striped shirt.
