Attracting Spring

Tulips taken with a Lensbaby 2.0 (http://www.lensbabies.com)
Time's Arrow

With apologies to Martin Amis (and the second law of thermodynamics). Without any particular desire to capture any one person I shot about four or five photos to get the line right and only afterwards discovered that I had captured the cyclist leaving 'Ojala' ('would that it were...' in Spanish) in three of the shots. The girl featured twice and the businessman twice. The pigeons were everywhere.

Framed

I just like the idea of using the horizon, the pole and it's shadow as a frame.

re Admin notice: Butzi
...all we're missing is the tea and biscuits!
Admin notice
Medicine will be occupying us for this coming week, so if there is a problem on the site it might be a couple of days before I resolve it. Blogger seems to be becoming more reliable again, but it is not perfect yet.
Please keep posting.......and you might also like to read this article by (link) Paul Butzi. Skip the first couple of paragraphs - it isn't really about golf or snake oil.
I should get email most days so I will remain in contact. Particularly that means for John L: if you've identified your nominee, don't hold back from sending me the contact details.
I'll catch up with all your posts in a week or so.

Another from December. There were about 5 or 6 people at the harbour in Aberaeron, West Wales.

Oslo, December

As it still snowing here, despite it being nearly time for the clocks to go forward, I thought I would go on processing winter pictures from my ever growing backlog. This one is from late December 2005.

Islands

From a trip to Dublin. In mid-fallow period. Falls into my pattern, monochromatic, abstract domain. I didn't really feel inspired.

morning coffee

About three tables were occupied in a square in La Latina (Madrid) on a reasonably sunny morning in mid-October. This was one of them, where beer seemed to be preferred to coffee! Yes, sneaked with a 50 - 200 lens.

Logging

I hope you can see what sort of picture I was trying to take. Not sure whether I achieved it. Views welcomed.

Welsh RGB

This is a small attempt at a joke - see:
http://www.auspiciousdragon.net/photostream/2006/03/rgb-and-ryb.html
Taken in December in Aberaeron - Queen Anne houses by the sea. Using the 50 - 200 lens.
I have deleted all your comments - for which I apologise. A new comment attempts to sweep up what was suggested.

I liked the total symmetry of the soldiers.

La Rosaleda

La Rosaleda is a thin park, a sort of no-man's land, on the Western side of Madrid where the teleferico carries you out into the heathland park called Casa de Campo.

Namib Desert

I have attempted to show the vast expanse of the Namib Desert. It is often said that you should fill the frame with the subject. I do not always agree with the rules but in this case, I have filled the image with the main subject - emptyness.
More concrete

This was my second choice picture for this week, but I couldn't resist posting it after seeing Michael's post.
These concrete verticals are in Milton Keynes
