A very striking composition with a number of stories to be told. One observer tells me that it resembles the join of buffalo horns; I see a seated woman (somewhat risque but I can't help that). The barnacles follow a fascinating line from open space to the crevice. The appearance of the conversion is dominated by the dark grey (albeit alleviated by a number of lighter elements) but maybe that is the character of the rock.
An image full of texture and shapes Rex. The dark banding reminds me of a woman's hair over a shoulder. The slight shadow towards top right makes me wonder how much of that dark banding is rock hue and how much is cast shadow.
I'm finding it difficult to add anything original to this. It has texture, line and contrast but even after two weeks of looking at it I'm not getting much of a whole.
