Soup of the Day

Comments:
Definitely raises a smile. The raised arms are a great touch. I mean I'm presuming mirror, not Photoshop......interesting to think why I would think that makes a difference.
Compare and contrast... . I am very drawn to shots of interiors like this but would look for an unwitting subject: I would be unwilling to attempt a self-portrait. There are some interesting 'co-ordinates' put together in this room! What is fascinating about the mirror, though, is how it acts as a wide-angle lens. But then it could be a window... .
It's amazing how strong a feel for water one gets from such a small area. Great colours too.
This does indeed raise a smile. I find myself wondering if that is indeed a mirror or, in a double bluff, a photograph. Clever.
I really am in two minds as to whether to include the photographer in or out of this picture.
If to include, then I'd have preferred a typical pose of camera against eye. The hands through the menu break-up the experience of what's written on the mirror.
If to exclude then I'd understand why no customers were at the tables inside as the window seats offer a much better view.
Overall, the 'muted' colours work very well and there is plenty else in the picture to keep me interested.
I chuckled over the "I'd have preferred a typical pose of camera against eye" comment as this is probably becoming the typical pose.
I've just purchased an Olympus 750 for Carla's Birthday, Christmas, Birthady, Christmas, Birthday......present. Amongst the requirements we had was a real viewfinder. With all the other boundary conditions we set, the viewfinder was not possible.
