Worn

Comments:
A fresh look at a well-worn subject (sorry!). I like this very much. I don't know why but there is a sense of aeons of time here and the picture encapsulates the interaction of water and an original part of the earth's formation. It's not abstract but it initiates a number of associations - one is the skin of a shark for instance. For me the composition works well; no doubt it doesn't appear in any photographer's manual of how-to-do but so what?

No giant waves but there is a greater force here.

I like this one too Rex. Lovely, almost creamy textures. If I were there I would have to lay my hands on that rock.

My second comment this week where I'm saying I like a photo for the thoughts that it provokes more than I do as an object to look at.

I'm with JohnJo. I want to be there to see how this feels.

Not sure if you should take this as criticism or a compliment, but to me this looks like a melting chocalate malt.

I'm with the rest too on this - it throws up more in the thoughts department than the aesthetic one. In respect of the latter, my only quibble would be to remove the dark space at the bottom of the shot and hope that there's a little extra at the top to compensate. Some good lighting has heightened the shot from a cursory glance to a more longer study and thus entering the realms of stirring the imagination.
