abstract # 1

Comments:
And now for something completely different!
I have no idea what it is and I am not sure I want to know. I'll let my imagination go into overdrive.
The image has a flimsy/ghostly feel due to the transparent nature os the lines and surfaces. The monochrome nature of the image also appeals to me.
I could almost say I like this!
Unlike Rex, I do want to know what this is.
I see this a decoration (that isn't pejorative). Not something to look at for any length of time but something to bring a little interest and variety to a wall/corridor/office/airport.
Mostly, I treat it as a puzzle.
This would seem to be a step too far judging by the (near) silence.
A basic object in the home, which was grey and off-white in its natural state. All this is is the base photo with a duplicate layer processed in 'overlay'. I forget the opacity reduction, probably around 60 - 70%. That's all, but it introduced the colour, which I was not expecting.
Oh well, better avoid abstracts in future.
John E - I think the silence is as much to do with the date as the content.
But then, arguing against myself, you know my stance on abstracts and macros :-)
Like butter through a knife?
I wanted to like this. I kept returning. It intrigues. It questions. It annoys me too much. I do not know what it is! Don't get me wrong, I'm as much a fan of abstract as the next. I just need to know what I'm looking at. Just like Linus, I need my comfort blanket.
In the words of ~matt: I'd hang this on my wall.
Good work, fine texture, great use of colour and shape.
