Just as it is

Comments:
Not a level line to behold! Everything in the lower two thirds rolls down to the snagged animal. There's the small brook in the centre also competing for my attention. Ubiqitous orange twine. This has so much detail going for it it keeps my attention away from the sad sight it depicts. Life is fragile and fences don't help. One to be proud of. And one that brings tears - the final placement of the front leg...
realities of the countryside.
realities in bavaria: last night they shoot a bear named 'Bruno'. Bruno was coming from Italy and the first bear in germany since more than 170 years. as a wild animal he killed some sheep and rabbits. protection of animals made in germany.
no chance for exterminated animals to come back.
As John says, very graphic and it certainly pulls on the old heart strings. I do find it difficult to roam around in this photograph because the main subject is such a strong one. I can guess how this poor animal met its demise which makes it even more troubling.
Are there not two animals there? Presumably draped over the wire as a warning to other foxes. As Michael says: reality. I like the composition and don't have too much difficulty looking at all the facets of the landscape. On the assumption that there are not too many fields carved out of this unpromising terrain it is another good feature of the composition that the limit of this field is represented by the fence in the middle distance.
Bruno the bear is an echo of this - no farmer can stand his livestock being killed by wild animals.
