Victoria and Albert

Victoria and Albert Museum, London. Any museum where they allow photography is just dandy by me.
Comments:
I like the triangle of Albert 1 with Albert 2 and Albert 3! Can't see a Victoria. The whole is well put together to maximise the expression of Albert 1 and make the most of the blurred background. Lovely tones too. A clever and visually attractive photo.
Nice shot, Guy. I think a slightly tigher crop would put more emphasis on the triangle of the three figures.
A creative composition with a nice use of DOF. Maybe you could trim off a bit from the right. It seems a little light to me and I would darken it a bit, but that may be just me.
I quite enjoy the lightness. It has an almost powdery chalky feel to it. I'm not sure about the man in the background however; I keep wishing he was a another statue placed a bit firther to the right though I suppose draging around exhibits is out of the question these days.
I must visit the V&A some time. Apparently family by marriage has something in there.
nowadays its quite difficult to get shots in a museum. wondering why they often didn't allow.
nice DOF with the statue and its viewer. agree about a tighter crop focussing on the lower left. overall its a bit too bright for my taste.
anyway its a successful museum shot (with enhancement potential IMHO)
The V&A is just dandy full stop. They do photography exhibitions well too.
The tones are great in this. And whilst it is clear what is statue and what is life, this photo does blur the distinction. The guy at the front is one of those living statues that you get in touristy places and the guy on the right is a waxworks figure placed there by some ironic artist.
I wouldn't crop this at all. Those eyes need somewhere to be looking.
My first thought was living statue too.
I think overt photography is banned in order to sell more postcards. They used to quote security issues but why they think that a ban on photography will deter a professional thief.
I like the tonal balance of this image it accentuates the 'stoniness' of the statue.
