Barclay park

Comments:
Are you saying: this is our near-by park? Perversely, as someone living in relatively highly-managed countryside (agriculturally) I find city/town parks attractive places and one of the reasons I rate London so highly as a city. This conveys that sort of appeal and also has the interesting feature of Autumnal leaves being on the ground whilst there are still green leaves on the trees. I am not sure about this photographically though: the sunlight is the important thing and I have the feeling that the picture strays over into over-exposure with the grass being very pale. On the other hand that might be a feature of reducing for the web and, indeed, over-compensating would result in a dark woodland floor. Maybe the path could have been at an angle but it does lead round to imply more space to the right. A very English scene with, quite rightly, its regulation council litter bin!
I think that this captures the feel for this sort of park very well. I'm not bothered by the very light grass. In fact I think that this helps represent the sensation of standing in the shadows. I'm more troubled by the not quite sharp foreground.
I see that you have this as a Stock image on your website. If your intention was to represent a type of place then this does the job well.
I don't want to think any more about autumn right now. I'm still waiting for spring.
I like the composition but find the bright light, in the background, very distracting. The path leads ones eyes to some nice trees in the background but I find these next to a burnt out area.

The highlights in the background doesn't bother me, although toning it a bit yellow might be interesting.
I think a more diagonal line across the frame would make this a stronger shot or perhaps a tighter crop with the path right up against the right side of the frame. As it is, it feels a bit static.
There is not a great deal that holds my interest in this picture apart from the rubbish bin. But it is so small and discreet that you almost miss it. Fantastic light and colour though. The bottom third of the picture is not telling me anything either a tighter crop or moving your feet closer in would encourage a much different response.
