War Memorial, Athens

I liked the total symmetry of the soldiers.

Comments:
I think that it is more than the symmetry. The light and shade are very good and the colour combination is unbeatable - designer costumes I wonder?!! One thing that intrigues particularly is the writing - it looks like graffiti but I can't believe that it would be allowed. Maybe it is part of the design of the memorial.

I only have one minor quibble: it is leaning slightly to the left. But it is an eye-catching image that is well composed.

Yes, well seen, and lean aside, well composed.

For me this image points up the ridiculous nature of military pomp well, but that is me reading something into the shot that you might not have meant.

leaving the nature of military behind I really like the color and lightning here. am usually not a friend of symmetry but this compo works really well.

The symmetry appeals to me and grabs my attention. Then exploring the image I see the pools of light on the soldiers. The theatre of the event comes through due to the position of the soldiers being away from the audience.
